Biography

Some of Larry’s first major films as a cinematographer were The Chumscrubber, Garden State and Kissing Jessica Stein. Then came The Dukes of Hazzard, The Dictator, War Dogs, and Dan in Real Life. His cinematography on all three Hangover films helped the series gross over 1.4 billion. He made his directorial debut with Father Figures starring Owen Wilson and Ed Helms. Durazone, Ford, Ad Council, PBS, TD Ameritrade, Pringles, and Honda (a Super Bowl spot featuring Matthew Broderick in an homage to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) have all tapped Larry’s considerable talents. He’s currently shooting The Joker. His career went like this: “lowly gofer” to “assistant” to “great cinematographer” to “film director”’. Oh, some people think he and Joaquin Phoenix look alike. Don’t stare.
